The Grenadier Tied By Allan Liddle

Allan Liddle on why he likes to tie The Grenadier in the way he does.

"The Grenadier or at least my version of it and a fly I've had in the selection for a very long time. The way i tend to tie this is essentially an orange Soldier Palmer and certainly not what might be called the 'traditional' dressing, but I do like it this way. Added 'hot spot triggers'

I like in my loch 'Bob Style' flies include a florescent tail and Pre-knotted legs and in this particular case a cock pheasant wing feather head hackle ( love the colours you get from the feathers of this bird and I feel they are very underrated)"
