Allan Liddle on why he likes to tie The Grenadier in the way he does.
"The Grenadier or at least my version of it and a fly I've had in the selection for a very long time. The way i tend to tie this is essentially an orange Soldier Palmer and certainly not what might be called the 'traditional' dressing, but I do like it this way. Added 'hot spot triggers'
I like in my loch 'Bob Style' flies include a florescent tail and Pre-knotted legs and in this particular case a cock pheasant wing feather head hackle ( love the colours you get from the feathers of this bird and I feel they are very underrated)"
